Gunther is a surf instructor and owner of He'Enalu surf shop in Carcan (Landes).
I trained as a sports instructor. I have always been involved in board sports, especially surfing, which I am passionate about. I had a surf school, then a surf shop, and now I also have a rental service to meet the demand for surfing, which has exploded over the last 15-20 years.
Our surf shop is based in a seaside resort north of Lacanau, in a major hub for both surfing and tourism. Surfing is becoming increasingly popular, but not everyone buys equipment, or if they do, they only buy one board, whereas normally you need to change boards depending on the waves and weather conditions. So I needed software to manage my board rental business (surfboards, wetsuits, bodyboards).
Before Lokki, we had tested two software programs. But on the one hand, we lacked contacts, and on the other hand, the platform was not as intuitive and did not evolve. So there was no response to our feedback or changes following our requests for improvements.
With Lokki, it's a bit like switching from a PC to a Mac. We never have any problems. It's super easy to use and very straightforward to learn.
This has saved us a lot of time. All the important information is condensed in one place, allowing us to work efficiently and quickly.

We have clear statistics on our inventory. We know exactly how many times each identified board has been used, and we can compare the wear and tear on the equipment with the number of times it has been used to evaluate the equipment. This allows us to improve our profitability.
To be honest, we don't even use all of Lokki's features yet! Soon, we'll be setting up online booking. This will allow us to generate more traffic and therefore rent out more boards and wetsuits.
