Alexandre is the manager of the Lyon Cycle Chic for over 10 years. He has always been passionate about cycling and worked as a professional mechanic for the Giant mountain bike team. He wants to promote a new, more environmentally friendly mode of transport: cycling.

Tell us your story!

My name is Alexandre and I am the manager of the Lyon Cycle Chic. After 10 eventful years, alternating between GIANT and Decathlon, I decided to go back to school to pursue a master's degree.

Because cycling is a passion of mine, I have always focused my career in this field. My first job was in the cycling department at Decathlon, while at the same time working as a mechanic for the GIANT professional mountain biking team.

After that, I had the opportunity to open a bicycle shop with a friend, offering repairs and sales in the center of Lyon. We opened together in 2010, then in 2015, I became the sole manager of the store after buying out the company's shares.

In 2013, we offered our first bike rentals, initially as a side business to our main activity. Quickly, and in response to demand, Adrien and I had to develop a second business exclusively dedicated to rentals. We went from 10 to 40 bikes and decided to move into a second location, 50 meters from our shop—a real godsend!
